Why FNF in Colorado

20 Years of Tough Climates.
Now in Colorado.

FNF Roofing started in Florida in 2005 and built its name on hurricanes, desert monsoons, and high-altitude snow country in Arizona and New Mexico. Colorado brings all of those challenges to one state, often in the same week.

A spring hailstorm can total a roof in Aurora in ten minutes. A January chinook can peel shingles off in Boulder. Summit County roofs carry snow for months, and foothills homes need roofs that can stand up to wildfire embers. Colorado roofing demands a crew that has seen all of it. FNF has.

We're not a storm-chasing crew that shows up after a hailstorm and disappears. FNF has a permanent office in Englewood, an owner who lives here, a 24/7 phone line, and the same standards we've kept in three other states.

Every Colorado Roof. Every Roofing Type.

  • Full roof replacements & repairs
  • Hail & wind damage restoration
  • Storm damage documentation & adjuster meetings

  • Emergency tarping & leak response
  • Metal siding, gutters & exterior
What Colorado Throws at Your Roof

One State.
Six Ways to Lose a Roof.

Colorado is one of the most hail-prone states in the country, and hail is just the start. Here's what Colorado roofing has to stand up to every year.

Hail Alley

The Front Range and Eastern Plains get some of the most frequent, damaging hail in the U.S., mostly April through September. It bruises shingles, cracks tiles, and dents metal, and the damage often can't be seen from the ground.

Snow Load & Ice Dams

Mountain towns see hundreds of inches of snow a year. Heavy snowpack stresses roof structures, and melt-and-refreeze cycles build ice dams that push water under shingles and into walls.

Chinook & Downslope Winds

Winds coming down off the Rockies can gust near hurricane force along the foothills. They lift shingle edges, rip flashing, and test every fastener on the roof.

Wildfire Country

Homes in the foothills and mountains sit where neighborhoods meet forest. Class A fire-rated roofing, like metal, keeps wind-blown embers from getting a foothold.

UV at Altitude

At 5,000 to 10,000+ feet, the atmosphere is thinner and UV is stronger. Shingles dry out, sealants crack, and membranes age faster than they would at sea level.

Freeze-Thaw Swings

Sunny 60°F afternoons followed by below-freezing nights make roofing materials expand and contract daily. That opens cracks at every nail, seam, and roof penetration.

Insurance Claims Made Simple

Hail Hit Your Roof?
We Document Everything.

Adjusters, deductibles, depreciation, supplements: most homeowners go through a roof claim once or twice in their life. FNF has been documenting storm damage in Florida, Arizona, and New Mexico for years. We'll show you exactly what the storm did, meet your adjuster on-site, and keep the process simple from the first inspection to the final invoice.

The FNF Claim Promise

You'll always know what we found, what the repair scope includes, and what you'll pay out of pocket before any work starts. No surprises, no pressure, and no shady shortcuts that could put your claim at risk.

01

Free Storm Inspection

We inspect the whole roof, plus gutters, vents, siding, windows, and AC units. Damage to those items helps show the carrier how hard your property was hit.

02

Photo Damage Report

You get a dated, labeled photo report of every hit, crease, and missing shingle, the kind of documentation carriers look for, ready to send with your claim.

03

You File the Claim

You open the claim with your insurance company. We give you our dated photo report and repair scope to send along, so you have what you need from the start.

04

Adjuster Meeting

We meet your adjuster on the roof, point out every damaged area, and make sure the full extent of the storm damage gets seen and documented.

05

Scope Review

We compare the insurance estimate to our findings line by line. If something was missed, like drip edge, ice & water shield, vents, or code items, we document it with photos and measurements for your insurance company for it.

06

Build & Close-Out

We install your new roof, take final photos, and prepare the completion paperwork your carrier and mortgage company need to release any remaining claim funds.

Written Contracts. Always.

Colorado law requires a detailed written roofing contract. You'll get a clear scope, price, and timeline before anything starts.

No Deductible Games

"We'll cover your deductible" is illegal in Colorado and can put your claim at risk. FNF will never offer to waive, pay, or rebate it.

Your 72-Hour Protection

If your insurance company denies your claim, Colorado law gives you 72 hours to cancel your roofing contract. We honor it, no questions asked.

You Stay in Control

You choose your contractor, not your insurance company. We're roofers, not public adjusters. We document and build, and your claim stays yours.

Insurance Jargon, Decoded

Six terms that come up in almost every Colorado roof claim, explained in plain English.

Deductible

What you pay before insurance pays. Many Colorado policies have a separate wind/hail deductible, often a percentage of your home's coverage, so check yours.

ACV vs. RCV

Actual Cash Value pays the depreciated value of your roof. Replacement Cost Value pays what it takes to replace it today. Your policy type matters.

Recoverable Depreciation

On many RCV policies, part of your payment is held back until the work is done. Our completion paperwork helps you collect it.

Supplement

A request to add items the first estimate missed. Items that often get missed include drip edge, starter, ridge, ice & water shield, and permits.

Code Upgrade (O&L)

Ordinance & Law coverage can pay for upgrades your local building code requires when you replace a roof. Not every policy has it.

Collateral Damage

Dents on gutters, vents, AC fins, and siding. It's strong evidence that hail was big enough to damage your roof too.

FNF Roofing is a roofing contractor, not a public adjuster, attorney, or insurance agent. Coverage depends on your individual policy. Ask your agent or carrier about your specific coverage.

Statewide Service Areas

Every Region.
Every Roof in Colorado.

Colorado roofing isn't one-size-fits-all. The state has seven distinct roofing climates. Pick your region to see what your roof faces and which systems we recommend.

Denver Metro

~5,280 ft · Home of FNF Colorado · Peak hail exposure

The heart of Colorado's Hail Alley and the home of our Englewood office. Denver-area roofs face frequent spring and summer hail, strong downslope winds, and constant freeze-thaw cycles. That means impact-resistant materials and careful claim documentation matter more here than almost anywhere else in the country.

What Your Roof Faces

  • Repeated hail events, often several per season
  • Wind gusts that lift shingle edges and flashing
  • Freeze-thaw cracking at penetrations
  • HOA rules on materials and colors

What We Recommend

  • Class 4 impact-resistant shingles
  • Stone-coated steel & standing seam metal
  • Ice & water shield at eaves and valleys
  • TPO / EPDM for commercial & multi-family

Northern Front Range

~5,000–5,400 ft · Hail + extreme wind corridor

From Boulder's foothills to the growing communities of Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley, the northern Front Range combines some of the strongest downslope winds in the state with regular hail. Foothills homes also sit in wildfire country, where a fire-rated roof matters.

What Your Roof Faces

  • High-wind events along the foothills
  • Seasonal hail across the I-25 corridor
  • Wildfire ember exposure near open space
  • Rapid residential growth & new construction

What We Recommend

  • High-wind rated shingle installs
  • Class A fire-rated metal roofing
  • Class 4 impact-resistant shingles
  • Commercial & agricultural metal roofing
BoulderLongmontLouisvilleLafayetteSuperiorBroomfieldErieFort CollinsLovelandGreeleyWindsorJohnstownEstes Park

Southern Front Range

~4,700–7,000 ft · Hail, wind & wildfire interface

Colorado Springs sits higher than Denver and gets its own share of damaging hail, plus strong winds off Pikes Peak. Monument and the Black Forest area are heavily wooded, and Pueblo and Cañon City bring hotter, drier conditions that are hard on roofing materials.

What Your Roof Faces

  • Frequent summer hailstorms
  • Strong winds off the Palmer Divide
  • Wildfire risk in forested communities
  • Intense UV and heat in the Arkansas Valley

What We Recommend

  • Class 4 shingles & stone-coated steel
  • Class A fire-rated metal in wooded areas
  • Reflective metal & coatings in Pueblo
  • Commercial TPO for retail & industrial

Mountains & Ski Country

~7,500–10,000+ ft · Snow load country

Up here, snow is the main threat. Roofs carry heavy snowpack for months, and every sunny day starts a melt-and-refreeze cycle that builds ice dams. Mountain homes and resort properties need roofs designed for snow load, with snow retention and ice protection built in from the start.

What Your Roof Faces

  • Heavy, long-lasting snow loads
  • Ice dams at eaves, valleys & dormers
  • Extreme UV at elevation
  • Short building season, so scheduling matters

What We Recommend

  • Standing seam metal with snow guards
  • Full ice & water shield coverage
  • Ventilation that keeps the roof cold (fewer ice dams)
  • Heavy-duty flashing at chimneys & walls

Western Slope

~4,500–6,000 ft · High-desert heat & sun

Grand Junction and the Western Slope feel more like the high desert FNF knows from Arizona and New Mexico: hot summers, intense sun, dry air, and flat or low-slope roofs on many homes and commercial buildings. Our Southwest experience carries over directly.

What Your Roof Faces

  • Intense summer heat & UV
  • Flat & low-slope roof drainage issues
  • Wildfire risk in the surrounding canyons
  • Seasonal wind and occasional hail

What We Recommend

  • TPO & reflective flat-roof systems
  • Metal roofing for heat & fire resistance
  • Silicone & elastomeric roof coatings
  • Tile repair & replacement

Southwest Colorado

~6,000–9,000 ft · San Juan snow & forest

Durango, Pagosa Springs, and the San Juan communities combine heavy mountain snow with forested lots at high wildfire risk, plus adobe-influenced flat roofs similar to northern New Mexico. FNF already works across the state line in New Mexico, so this region is familiar territory.

What Your Roof Faces

  • Heavy snowfall, especially near Wolf Creek
  • Wildfire ember exposure in forested areas
  • Flat & pueblo-style roof drainage
  • Monsoon-season storms

What We Recommend

  • Standing seam metal (snow + fire)
  • TPO / modified bitumen for flat roofs
  • Snow retention & ice protection
  • Parapet & flashing specialists
DurangoBayfieldPagosa SpringsCortezTellurideOurayRidgwayMancos

Eastern Plains & Southern Colorado

~3,500–7,500 ft · Big hail & open-country wind

The Eastern Plains get some of the largest hail in the state, plus open-country winds and severe summer storms. Farms, ranches, and small towns need roofs for homes, shops, and ag buildings. To the south, Trinidad sits just over Raton Pass from FNF's northern New Mexico service area, and Alamosa and the San Luis Valley face high-altitude cold.

What Your Roof Faces

  • Large hail from severe summer storms
  • Sustained high winds across open plains
  • Temperature extremes, summer to winter
  • Metal outbuildings, shops & barns

What We Recommend

  • Class 4 impact-resistant shingles
  • Exposed-fastener & standing seam metal
  • Ag & commercial metal roof systems
  • High-wind rated installation

Colorado Roofing FAQ

Questions Colorado
Homeowners Ask.

Yes. FNF provides Colorado roofing services across the entire state, from the Denver metro and Front Range to the mountains, Western Slope, Southwest Colorado, and Eastern Plains. Our Colorado office is at 2331 W Hampden Ave in Englewood, and our 24/7 line at (833) 399-4005 is always answered.
Look for signs around your property: new dents on gutters, downspouts, vents, or AC fins; shingle granules washing out of downspouts; and dings on cars, fences, or siding. Roof damage itself is often invisible from the ground, so schedule a free inspection and never climb on the roof yourself.
Yes. That's one of the most valuable things we do. We inspect and photo-document all damage, walk you through filing, meet your adjuster on-site, review the insurance scope line by line, send documentation for anything missed, and provide the completion paperwork your carrier needs. FNF is a roofing contractor, not a public adjuster, and your claim stays in your hands, but you'll never go through it alone.
No. Colorado law prohibits roofing contractors from paying, waiving, or rebating an insurance deductible, and a contractor who offers it can put your claim at risk. Treat any roofer who offers this as a red flag.
No. You choose your roofing contractor. Your insurance company determines coverage for the damage, and you decide who does the work.
Colorado law gives you 72 hours after receiving written notice of a claim denial to cancel your roofing contract. If your claim is denied, we'll walk you through your options, including repair-only work or paying for a replacement directly, with no pressure.
Class 4 is the highest impact-resistance rating under the UL 2218 standard. Many Colorado insurance companies offer premium discounts for Class 4 roofs, since impact-resistant roofs are built to hold up better in hail. Discounts vary by carrier, so check with your agent. We'll give you the product documentation they need.
Ice dams form when heat escaping into the attic melts snow that then refreezes at the colder eaves. We fight them from several angles: ice & water shield at eaves and valleys, balanced ventilation that keeps the roof deck cold, proper flashing, and metal roofing with snow guards where it makes sense.
Yes. FNF installs and repairs TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal, and roof coatings for commercial buildings, HOAs, multi-family, retail, office, and industrial properties across Colorado.
Yes, on every job that needs one. Roofing permits in Colorado are issued by local building departments, and requirements vary by city and county. We handle the permitting for you.
